Twenty players and five matches led to a facile win of the third annual Natcher Cup by the Bowling Green-Warren County Bar Association over the Daviess County Bar.
The 10 players from Bowling Green took the competition 3.5 to 1.5 at Owensboro Country Club on June 29. The venue of the Natcher Cup, first played in 2016, alternates between Bowling Green and Owensboro.
Our bar was represented by (pictured L to R) Judge Brent Potter, Matt McGill, Kevin Croslin, Aaron Smith, Ryan Reed, Richard Hartsock, Andy Coleman, Walter Connelly, (and not pictured) Judge John Brown and Chris Davenport.
A glitch occurred when the pro shop got Judge Brent's name wrong on his cart pass. The error was corrected Sua Sponte with the stroke of a Sharpie.
Hartsock, not one to brag in the ordinary course, was exuberant after the victory and said, "You know, the only time this Cup has been to Owensboro is when we bring it up here for the day."
