BG Bar Ringing the Bell
Jim Harris is once again heading up a full day of bell ringing for the Salvation Army. It'll be on Dec. 10 at five different locations.
Harris asks that bar members arrive a minute or two early so that the preceding ringer will not feel abandoned. Salvation Army personnel will deliver to the first shift a stand, a sign for the stand, a kettle and bell. The army will pick up everything from the last shift.
"Ring it with heart," Harris wrote in an email. "If you want to wear a Christmas hat, wear it. If you want to sing Christmas carols, sing them. If you want to bring a friend , your spouse or children, bring them. Children usually ring better than adults anyway."
Locations and bell ringers are shown below. As of this post, a couple of slots need filling. Interested attorneys should contact Harris at 270-784-0182.
