With a capacity crowd in attendance at the Knicely Conference Center on the WKU South Campus, the Bowling Green-Warren County Bar Association hosted the Forty Year Commemoration Dinner and Barristers' Ball on Jan. 16.
The event honored members of the bar who began practicing law between Jan, 1, 1971 and Dec. 31, 1975. The honorees were Stephen L. Hixson, Lee Huddleston, Jeffrey R. O'Grody, Herbert J. Smith, Jr., David F. Broderick, George P. Gleitz, Fred G. Greene, R. Harvey Johnston III, C. Michael Reynolds, Joyce M. Russell, Kelly D. Thompson, William S. Haynes, Jr., Gary S. Logsdon, Thomas A. Noe III, Kelly D. Powell, S. Frank Smith, Jr., Keith M. Carwell, E. Kenneth Duncan, Quinten B. Marquette, Jerry A. Burns, David Goin, Allen V. Graf, Thomas R. Lewis, C. Thomas Poole and George E. Strickler, Jr.
Cocktails and a dinner program with videos featuring many of the honorees were followed by music from DiZZorderly Conduct, featuring frontman Hon. Steve Wilson.
The gala event was a great success, with over 230 in attendance. Many honorees were accompanied by close family members.
Outgoing Bar President Dov Moore was the master of ceremonies, assisted by incoming president Ryan Reed.
Moore extended his deep thanks for their tremendous effort organizing and producing the event to Susan Minton, Mary Edelen, Linda Moore, Nancy Priest, Lauren Marley, Carrie Link, Leslie Priest, Jane Wilson, Kristin McGuinness and Sandy Clark.
Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company of Kentucky was recognized for its sponsorship of the video production.
