Free 2.0 Hours of CLE Credit Offered
Dues-paying members of the Bowling Green-Warren County Bar Association are offered a free ethics CLE program, "The ABC's of Malpractice," on June 25 at the Warren County Justice Center.
The event will be held from 11:30 to 1:30 in Courtroom B on the fourth floor.
The program will be presented by LMICK and is worth 2.0 hours of Ethics CLE credit.
Lunch will be provided, so it is necessary that members RSVP by sending an email to Richard Hartsock at hartsock@boamlaw.com.
While California law is very different from that of Kentucky, lawyers in the states share two similarities: 1) They owe certain ethical duties to their clients; and 2) clients and other parties can and will sue lawyers for breaching those ethical duties and for legal malpractice.
This session will address what practice areas generate the most legal malpractice claims and the risks of generating a malpractice claim depending on the legal task being performed and/or the stage in the case or corporate transaction.
